If you plan to marry abroad or register a relationship overseas, many countries require a single-status declaration (also called a single affidavit or certificate of no impediment) confirming that you are legally free to marry.
How it works
You make a sworn declaration of your single status before the notary public, who then prepares and authenticates the document. Because requirements differ by country, the wording and any required translation should match what the receiving authority expects.
What to bring
- Your national ID or passport (original)
- Household registration or relevant civil-status document, if applicable
- Details of the country and authority that will receive the declaration
Our notary is certified English Level 1 and can prepare the declaration bilingually. Contact us via LINE to arrange an appointment.
